of distress in one easy step.
Thick, one step crackle paint that only cracks to reveal itself
meaning you don't need to worry about the surface colour underneath
the area you want to crackle.
Available in Distress Ink colours,
Picket Fence (White),
Clear Rock Candy and three metallic colours,
Antique Bronze,
Brushed Pewter and
Tarnished Brass.
For ease of clean-up, use these paints along with the
Tim Holtz Non-stick Craft Sheet so you can simply
scrape off the dry paint from your work surface when you are
finished.
If your paint is too thick for your liking, simply thin it using
a few squirts from a
Mini Mister or drops from a
Pipette then stir well.
Dries in 15 to 30 minutes depending on the thickness and
climate.
~ Shake well
~ Unscrew lid and paint a medium to heavy coat using the built in
applicator brush (the thicker the paint, the larger the cracks).
Don't worry about brush strokes as the paint is self leveling and
it will smooth out.
~ Allow to dry and crackle.
Ideas
~ Use as an accent rather than
covering the entire surface with Crackle Paint. When dry, ink
around the rest of the surface with
Distress Ink and an
Ink Blending Tool to create a resist effect.
~ Use an
Ink Blending Tool and a darker shade of
Distress Ink and rub ink into the cracks to enhance the
distressed look. Wet a piece of paper towel with a
Mini Mister and wipe over the crackled area to remove the
excess Distress Ink and reveal the paint colour but still leaving
the darker ink in the cracks.
